Who We Work With

Organizations with a real sustainability story to tell.

Purpose-Driven Brands

Sport Organizations

NGOs & Foundations

Sustainable consumer brands, food & bev, apparel, outdoor. B Corps, climate-tech. Already spending on sustainability comms and need credibility and specialist execution.

Leagues, teams & venues with sustainability commitments. Need athlete-led storytelling to make institutional pledges feel human and verifiable.

Environmental advocacy organizations (i.e. Earthjustice, Nature Conservancy) with little to no campaign production capability.

Universities

Interest in social impact and sustainability among student-athletes is growing across every athletic department we talk to and the industry at large.

Through the Impact Athlete Training program, we turn that interest into structured engagement, backed by media training - providing real value for your athletes and establishing a forward-thinking, progressive marker for your department.

Athletes

You didn't get this far to say nothing. You already have a platform, a story, and an audience that trusts you. TLG helps you direct that toward the brands and causes that actually match your values.

We don't represent you. We connect you with brands that mean it, structure the campaign so your voice stays authentic, and help you build a sustainability identity that outlasts your sport. The Impact Athlete Training program is the starting point if you're just getting into this; The Impact Athlete Lab is the next step for athletes ready to turn their voice into paid partnerships.

Our Founding Story

Louisa Freeman, Founder & Director of The Long Game.

The Long Game was founded by former Division I athlete and All-American rower Louisa Freeman, a sustainability strategist with nearly a decade of experience helping brands, startups, and institutions navigate the transition toward more responsible business models.

While still a student-athlete, Louisa started a sports sustainability club at Michigan, trying to get her teammates engaged on climate issues with no structure, no curriculum, and no one else doing it. That gap never left her. While completing her graduate studies in Sustainability Management at Columbia University, she spent 9 months speaking to athletes, agents, and sustainability leaders across global sport to understand what athlete engagement on climate looks like today.

A consistent pattern emerged:

  • Athletes want more purpose-driven sponsorships.

  • Brands want credible voices without reputational risk.

  • There was no trusted system connecting the two.

The Long Game was built to fill that gap.
